F. C. Lakeside supports Jeel al Amal

Below the heartwarming email we received from Father Brian Ralph in England.

Hopefully this will be the start of a link up between FC Lakeside and Jeel al Amal.

F. C. Lakeside, are a football team based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. Founded in 1975 by Fr. Brian Ralph (when he was 9 years old) and his dad Fred. Fr. Brian was the Goal-keeper for the original team from 1975-1989.

Over the years the club has grown significantly and now comprises of 17 teams from under 5's to senior level. There are boys and girls teams and Men and Women's.

They also have links to teams in Holland.

**

Since its creation 42 years ago thousands of young people have passed through the club and many have gone on to be coaches, managers and board members.

At the 40th anniversary dinner Fr. Brian was asked to be the keynote speaker and talked about the work of Jeel. The Club then decided to donate the kits to the school.

It is hoped that both F. C. Lakeside and Jeel can build links with each other in the future.
