An unprecedented achievement

Volume 7 - JEEL NEWS - Issue 2
February 28th 2014

To the friends of Jeel al Amal

The newspaper of 6th February 2014 wrote:

An unprecedented achievement for Jeel al Amal youth in West Bank Championship in Table Tennis.

Bethany: After winning the championship of Jerusalem governorate  schools  on district level [see Jeel News] the biggest challenge was awaiting them which is the West Bank championship on table tennis, where the team of Jeel al Amal proved to be the toughest with no competitor.

This has been represented with the acquisition of the first, second, third and fourth place in the Palestinian Union Championship for table tennis (youth category).

The Palestinian Union of championship represented by its president praised the team of Jeel al Amal and promised to give every support possible and foresaw a great future for those kids.

The winners are:
Champion: Ismael Awaysah (he never lost any game throughout the tournament!)
Runner up:  Shadi Asad
Third place: Mostafa Tabanjah
Fourth place: Yousef Naser.”

(“This article about Jeel al Amal team is also published in Panet online news”, Najwa. - Click here.)

The team of Jeel al Amal is being supervised by the trainer Majdi Selwadi  who got his diploma on Sports Management with Cies university in Switzerland the right hand of FIFA and Birzeit continuing education in Ramallah.

Two of the winning team, Ismael and Shadi, are preparing themselves to participate in championship in Bahrain. They were invited to do so by the Bahrain Table Tennis Association.

This was the very first time that four participants from the same team win first through fourth prizes,  and that's why they call it unprecedented in the newspaper.
