A video of the dancing girls of the kindergarten is on You Tube.

It is the first video made with the camera, that we we were able to buy thanks to our Dutch donors. It was filmed by Abed El Majid (Grade 8) and Jibreel (Grade 6).

To all friends of Jeel al Amal

Jeel al Amal summer camp lasted from 8-6-2013 to 8-7-2013. Four volunteers from UNIPAL – England arrived to help with the program.



Trips to different parts of Palestine
Activities included seven trips to different parts of Palestine:   
- Mekhmas fun Land and swimming pool in Ramallah



- Park in Nablus

-

Tour around the old city of Jerusalem where the children got to visit the Holy Sepulcher, the Al Aqsa mosque and the walls of Jerusalem and many other historic places.



- A visit to Jericho to the Spanish Gardens , waterfalls and swimming pool.
- A visit to the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo.
- Swimming pool in Ramallah
- Touristic village in Jericho
All trips included entrance fees and snacks for the children during the day.

Training in different computer programs
Besides the trips the children got training in Said Khoury Information Technology Center Of Excellence.



They learned about different computer programs like Photoshop, and many other media programs.  During the summer camp they got 12 lessons. The lessons were  given for free by the center; fees for this activity included transportation back and forth only.

To the swimming pool in Bethany
Every Thursday the children went to the swimming pool in Bethany.  Four times during the course of the summer camp. Transportation fees, entrance fees were included.



Other Activities
In the afternoon the children enjoyed painting and other art activities with the volunteers. Sports activities like table tennis, football and basketball and many other games.

Surprice party
On the last day of the summer camp a surprise party was organized by the children of Jeel al Amal, in which they showed their appreciation and thanks for the UNIPAL volunteers. The children had helped with baking pizza the Italian way and enjoyed eating and celebrating the end of a wonderful summer camp 2013.
