To all friends of Jeel al Amal

Jeel al Amal received an invitation from Al Quds university to participate in a lecture on the occasion of ‘orphans day’.

Dr. Safa Nasser Eldin, dean of the Huseinni College of the Al Quds University, started by thanking everybody for their presence. She expressed her hope that this lecture will be the link for a visit by the students and professors of this College to Jeel al Amal to communicate socially and educationally with the home. She added that she was pleased to see her classmate during school days after so many years, Najwa Sayegh-Sahhar, sitting next to her.

Dr. Ahmad Jabr lectured about the orphans from an educational point of view after which Dr. Khaled Salman spoke about the orphans from a social point of view and elucidated to their rights.

The undersigned gave a briefing about Jeel al Amal since its establishment. The power point presentation showed pictures of the different activities at the home, music, art, drama and sports. Those activities help promote the self-esteem of the children and encourage them to discover their talents.

Jeel al Amal as a charitable organization depends on donors and support of kind friends to carry on  its humanitarian work. We strive to create a pool of educated children from a high risk and even doomed background who would otherwise have no future. Many of the children of Jeel al Amal were able to continue their higher education and continue to come to visit what they call their home.

The presentation ended with recommendations to visit the home and let the children feel they are remembered. In addition to that a fund program is being established to help the children pursue their college/university education in the future. The university has the intention to visit and help Jeel al Amal.
